My buddy BJ, who I met at Northeastern freshman year (in 1994), is walking across Massachusetts. He isn't raising money or doing it for a specifc cause. He just wanted to walk across Massachusetts. A few years ago we talked about walking from Boston to Washington D.C. for the inaugeration of the president (following Edward Weston's 478 mile trek from 1861 for Lincoln's Inaugeration). We never did that walk, I continued my life here in Dryden and BJ traveled around finally deciding a few months ago to try to walk across Massachusetts.

He's planned the walk out from the northwest corner to the tip of cape cod. He called me a few minutes ago - he's just east of Ware and has been blogging his walk daily. Check out his site for details on his adventure.

The above picture is of BJ and me on New Years Day 2006 in Auburn, Massachusetts. Note the Eagle Scout bumper sticker (we are both eagle scouts) on his mom's car and the breast cancer awareness ribbon magnet (we both participated in the 3-Day in 2002). I guess as BJ and I and others from our freshman class get older (I turned 30 yesterday, BJ turned 30 in August), we are moving on to bigger and better adventures.
